Workshop A Great Success

So we are going to do it again in July!

"Firstly, thanks to you and the team for a brilliant day at the workshop - I picked up loads of information and learned not to be afraid to use manual focus" SUE

The RTI/Canon/The Flash Centre equestrian photography workshop at the World Horse Welfare Centre (formerly the ILPH) in Norfolk was a great success particularly as it was the first one we had ever run. This was due in no small part to the help and support of the World Horse Welfare staff who provided a service equal in quality to the excellent amenities. I would encourage anyone who has not visited the centre at Snetterton to go along and meet the staff and horses and learn about the wonderful work that they do for horses both here and overseas. We are very glad to have made a financial contribution to their fundraising efforts.

In July we shall run another workshop with the same itinerary as last time, the date has not yet been finalised.

We also hope to run a workshop at the World Horse welfare centre in Somerset, in September.

Watch this space for more details or contact us to reserve a place.

Equestrian Photography Workshop

IN ASSOCIATION WITH CANON PRESENTED BY TFC AND STEVE DAWE

The Flash Centre will be hosting an equestrian photography workshop at the International League for the Protection of Horses in Snetterton Norfolk on the 21st May in association with Canon UK and Steve Dawe of Real Time Imaging

This full day workshop will be hosted by Steve Dawe, an Equestrian Photographer with over fifteen years of experience of event and studio photography. Steve will be showing his techniques to achieve fantastic results when photographing both action and static shots.

The day starts with a short presentation by Canon on their latest technology used in cameras, lenses and flash.

Following a health and safety briefing and an overview of the day given by Steve, we have geared the day to be very much hands on with dedicated sessions on studio photography, lighting horses, grooms and riders in situ using battery operated studio flash from Elinchrom and Lumedyne and also photographing horses moving and jumping, capturing the best moment and remote capture using wireless triggering. Bring your cameras!!! This is truly a day when there will be plenty of opportunity to capture some stunning images.

Canon will have a range of cameras, lenses and accessories available to “touch and try” during the day, (subject to availability) and printers to produce beautiful prints of the days events.

There will be Canon experts and Flash Centre staff on hand to offer help and advice on any aspect of lighting or camera queries.

The day will run from 10am to 4.30pm and costs just £40 including buffet lunch.

All profits from this event go to the ILPH.

For more details and tickets, please contact Dave Beck on 0207 837 5649 or email dave@theflashcentre.co.uk

Hope to see you there!
